hiking & skiing

The Camden-Rockport area features a range of hikes and walks for all skill levels. The famous Beauchamp Point walk begins at your doorstep and the vast Camden Hills Trail system is only 2 miles away. In the winter months, Rockport’s Megunticook Golf Club and Aldermere Farm open for for cross country skiing, while the Camden Snow Bowl is the only East Coast ski mountain with ocean views.

 

swimming & boating

Rockport Harbor offers several swimming and boating options a short stroll from the home. Rockport Marine Park includes a ramp to launch boats, kayaks and SUPs as well as a sandy beach for swimming and sand castles. Aldermere Farm’s ocean trail provides access to a classic rocky Maine beach with views across the Penobscot Bay to Islesboro, North Haven, and beyond. Fresh water swimming is just a few miles away at Megunticook Lake.

Rockport Village includes a range of cultural and dining options, as do nearby Camden, Rockland, and Belfast. 18 Central and Nina June are a short walk. Camden’s Long Grain was highlighted in the New York Times as among the top Thai restaurants in the United States.
